Empirical analysis of network effect applicability in Vietnam’s enterprises

Abstract

By using data from GSO, the paper investigates the possibility of applying network effect in some
industries in Vietnam at firm level. The paper confirms that (1) income of consumer, educational
qualification of employee and manager, firm’s efficiency are necessary conditions to apply network
effect in business effectively; (2) in such industries as telecommunication service, banking, insurance,
e-commerce…, network effect applicability is higher than others.
