JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT’S INCLUSION IN THE ASEAN CITATION INDEX (ACI)
Posted on 2024-09-27Hanoi, September 23, 2024 – Foreign Trade University organized the 2024 Journal Contributors Conference and announced that the Journal of International Economics and Management has officially been included in the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI). This marks an important milestone in the journal's development, signifying a significant advance in enhancing academic credibility and affirming its position on the international stage.
Joining ACI is considered a well-deserved recognition for the continuous efforts to improve publishing quality and promote international integration of both the journal and the university. Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc, congratulated the university on this important achievement and emphasized that this not only elevates the position of the Journal of International Economics and Management but also serves as motivation for the journal to advance further, aiming for prestigious scientific indexing systems such as Scopus and Web of Science.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, President of Foreign Trade University, expressed pride in this achievement. He asserted that the journal's admission to ACI is not only evidence of the relentless efforts of the faculty and researchers but also reflects the increasingly strong academic standing of Foreign Trade University on the international map. The President emphasized that the university will continue to invest significantly in the journal to contribute to the implementation of its comprehensive development strategy.
Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tu Thuy Anh, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Economics and Management, also highlighted that joining ACI is a significant milestone, but it also presents new challenges. She stated that the journal will continue to focus on improving editorial quality, expanding its team of international collaborators, and ensuring that global scientific standards are consistently met. The Editor-in-Chief committed that the journal will relentlessly strive to maintain its position as a reputable academic journal in the region while preparing for further advancements toward prestigious international indexing systems such as Scopus and Web of Science.
This event marks a new development phase for the Journal of International Economics and Management, opening a promising chapter in enhancing academic quality and contributing to the regional and international scientific community in the near future.
