The Conference: "Renewing Scientific Journal Policies: Experiences and Solutions"

In the series of events towards the 20th anniversary of the Journal of International Economics and Management, Foreign Trade University organized the Conference "Renewing Scientific Journal Policies: Experiences and Solutions". The Conference received many quality articles and welcomed representatives of more than 30 scientific journals across country.

In the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr Bui Anh Tuan, the President of Foreign Trade University stated: In recent years, Vietnamese scientific journals are having a strong development with beautiful publications, improved quality and many journals have chosen the international journal path. The Conference is an open forum for state management officials, agencies and leaders of journals to share valuable experiences and lessons, then propose continuous, breakthrough and innovative solutions to gradually integrate the Journal into the community of international scientific journals and towards sustainable development in the future.

Dr Vu Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, the Ministry of Education and Training and Assoc. Prof. Dr Duong Nghia Bang, Deputy Chief of the Office of the State Council of Professors gave welcome speech to the Conference.

The Conference focused on 4 discussions by Assoc. Prof. Dr Tu Thuy Anh – the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Economics and Management, Foreign Trade University; Prof. Dr Le Quoc Hoi - the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economics and Development, National University of Economics; Dr Doan Thi Yen Oanh - Deputy Director of Natural Science and Technology Publisher, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; and Assoc. Prof. Dr Dinh Van Thuat - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.

The participants had lively discussions, valuable experiences sharing and practical solutions to develop Vietnamese scientific journals and strengthen the integration of Vietnamese scientific journals into prestigious regional and world index systems.
